Goal Completed!!

Yay! Today I finished #18, #19, and #20 cards for Operation Write Home! Didn't realize how long 20 cards would take! But then again I had other projects to do too! Well I'm just glad I made it in time...just gotta head to the post office soon! I decided to keep it simple and used 3 Hero Arts christmas stamps. I followed the card layouts from an issue of Just Cards magazine.

Can't believe tomorrow is Wednesday already!
Thanks for stopping by!

Craft Fair...

this weekend at Blaisdell! It sucks that I only got motivated to make stuff at the last minute! That's okay, it's a fun hobby so I'm not out to make profit! But it's always nice to see people want to buy something you made. So, I only made stuff for the craft fair because my mom's co-worker will be there and she told my mom she wouldn't mind selling stuff for me. Awesome! My mom gave her the stuff today at work and some stuff were sold already because her co-workers saw them! Nothing too special...here they are...

Washi Paper Covered Wooden Coasters (36, 4 in a set)

Here's one up close...
put decopauge glue on top to make it waterproof.

Here's the back...
put a cork sheet to finish it off.

Post-it Note Frames...

And a few calendar frames...

They look really simple but yet I had a hard time with choosing the images and colors! :(
But thanks to everyone's comments who keep me going!
Hope everyone has a nice Aloha Friday tomorrow!

September OCS

Just wanted to share both for September OCS. My partner was Ka Ren and the theme was to make a summer card. It's fun to have a theme for the OCS, even though I was a little stumped for a summer theme! I realized I had a perfect stamp by Pure Innocence to use! I followed the sketch from here. Here's my card I made...

I paper pieced her swimsuit...

I decided to make a swivel card...

Here's a lovely card from Ka Ren...

Can't believe tomorrow is Thursday! So many things to do, not enough time!
Good night!

Bear w/Christmas Gifts

#15, #16 and #17 for Operation Write Home! I didn't realized how soon Oct. 30 is coming up and I haven't reached 20 cards yet! :( To speed up the process, I decided to make 3 similar cards. You might think it's weird but I don't like making cards that are totally the same. I'll make cards that are similar but something will be different like the colors, or placing of things, etc. Idk, I just want each card I make to be one of a kind! I did the challenge at Lili of the Valley since I'm using one of their cute Christmas stamps but just used the first card to enter the challenge.

I tried to make the bears different shades of brown too.
Thanks for stopping by!

August OCS!!

OMG! It is October, and I just realized now I'm totally behind on posting the cards for the OCS!! My bad! :( For August, my partner was Chris D. from Michigan. The theme that month was to make an Asian card. For my card, instead of stamping, I decided to make an origami kimono, tutorial was found here. It's harder than it looks because there's so many folds, but it was fun making!

And here's the card from Chris D. ...

Here's the crane and sentiment close up...

It was such a coincidence that we both made origami kimonos!
It's always fun trying new techniques and learning from others!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend so far!
The weekends just fly by!

Sending You Sweet Holiday Wishes

#14 card for Operation Write Home! Just a quick post again...I always seem to post right before going to bed! It's been a long week and so glad tomorrow is Friday!! I realized I had a cute Inky Antics christmas stamp set from last year that I didn't get to use so I thought it'd be a great chance! Followed the sketch for the challenge at Inspirational Card Sketches! I totally love snowmen!...because they're always smiling! :)

I really need to start learning how to take better pictures! It sucks that my camera did not come with a manual! :( Oh well...
Have a great weekend everyone!

Cocktail Emily

I finally made it for a challenge at Sparkle Creations! The challenge was "Clean and Simple". It's weird how when the more simple it is, the more "hard" it is. Or just for me at least. :) I thought I'd try something different and I stamped the sentiment on vellum and then just put it over the image. Turned out ok.

Just a quick post tonight...more craft stuff to finish!!
TFL!

*Edit* 10/18/10 I was one of the random winners for this challenge and won "Caroling Josh"!

Paper Punch Christmas Cards!

#11, #12, and #13 cards for Opeartion Write Home! Slowly getting there! I thought I'd try something different and came up with some Christmas cards using paper punches! Good chance to make use of them! My brain got fried after 3! Hopefully someday I can come up with something more creative!

This first card is a wreath made from snowflake punches! I thought it would look ok since the snowflakes edges looks like leaves. And the bow is the first bow I made using the "Bow Easy".

A simple card using a circle and star punch but I still like it!

This one I actually used nestabilities for the circles but punches for the sentiment. And cuttlebug folder.

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments!
It's what keeps me motivated to keep crafting!

Mom's Birthday!

So my Mom's birthday is tomorrow...I thought of stuff to make last minute so I didn't get to finish everything. I ended up just making part of her gift...I recently got into crocheting!! It took me a week just to get used to the basics (watching youtube videos over and over)! But wow, it's amazing at all the things you can make! We'll see how it goes. If you remember, my mom loves orange so I bought some cotton yarn to attempt to make the coaster here! I unraveled it several times before I got it! And I didn't have two shades of orange so I just made the whole flower one shade of orange. So this is my first completed crochet project!

Then I attempted to make my first shaped card! Wasn't as bad as I thought! And of course it's orange!

Decided to make it a shaped easel card!

This was pretty fun to make and will definitely make more of these!
Time to go to bed!

Especially For You

#10 card for Operation Write Home! I didn't realize how long it would take me to make 20 cards! I hope I make it by Oct. 30! I just gotta squeeze in time here and there but I really want to do this since it is for a great cause! I followed the sketch from Taylored Expressions! There's so many fun challenges I wish I had time for! I love Pure Innocence! Paper pieced her hat, coat and presents. Still getting used to cutting small pieces! (It's small for me. :) )

Can't believe it's almost the middle of October already!
Hope life is treating everyone well!

CAS Dandelion Christmas Cards

#6, #7, #8, #9 cards for Operation Write Home! I'm going to be optimistic I can reach my goal of 20! As long as I make some clean and simple cards I should be good! And that does not have to be a bad thing! I used sketches from Clean and Simple and used some Dandelion designs stamps! It's ironic but sometimes CAS can actually be challenging!

My mojo wasn't all there for these cards! Well hopefully it comes back soon because I've been seeing some great inspiration from everyone's blogs! So glad tomorrow is Friday! It's been a long week...no holidays til November!!

Travel Anya!

My mom asked me to make her a "Have a nice trip" card. I decided it would be a good chance to use the Travel Anya I had from a get together awhile back. I followed the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches but again didn't get a chance to post it right after making the card, then the weekend came and I didn't get to go the computer. If you remember from previous posts, my mom loves orange so she asked to make her suitcase orange. I thought I'd try a pink, orange and brown combo, with some yellow.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Watched Beauty and the Beast Musical last night!
It was awesome!

Christmas Cat

#5 card for Operation Write Home! Thankfully, this week has been better than last! I had more time to get some crafts done! I participated in the challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday! My cat image is from Wild Rose Studio. For this card, I thought I'd try something new to me by embossing the background and making it all white. Sorry it's hard to tell in the pic.

I can't believe it's October already! Time is just zooming by! Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!

Gingerbread Christmas

#4 card for Operation Write Home! Slowly but surely! Made this card for the Cupcake Craft Challenges. The challenge was to use pink and brown. Thought I'd be a good chance to use my gingerbread girl and boy stamps by Two Scoops Rice Designs! I don't know why but I was stumped for a long time with this card! Btw, does anyone have tips for stamping long sentiments? I never seem to get it on the first try...there's always a part that has no ink. I put stickles on the embossed snowflake background and inked the edges with brown ink.

So glad tomorrow is Friday! The week went by kind of slow! And the weekends go by too fast! :(
Have a great weekend everyone!
