Special Friends, Special Moments

Just wanted to share a card I made today since I had some free time. I used a image I haven't inked up yet by 'There she goes'. I love using animal images...they are all so cute! I used a simple sketch from The Sweet Stop. The strips is a great way to use scraps! :) I can never seem to make a dent in my scrapbox...I always want to use new paper! :( I made an attempt again to distress the edges...still gotta practice!

Now time to enjoy the rest of the 3 day weekend! :)

Happy Birthday!

Made a quick masculine (I tried) birthday card just for fun. I know it would look better colored but to save time, I paperpieced the bears' bodies. I think this is the first time I used so many bright colors at once! Fun! I used a stamp from Ellzybells, I'm sad that the company had to shut down...I loved the bears especially!

Decided to make a couple more Christmas cards for Operation Write Home. Used a sketch from Clean & Simple. I love using their sketches when I'm making more than one of the same card. Went with traditional colors this time. Stamp by Two Scoops Rice Designs.

Also wanted to share this super cute easel card I made at the make n take at Taj Clubhouse!

I love their characters and stencils! But a lot of work! :)

Mavis The Cat

I love this cat from Stamping Bella! Mavis is the cat's name...sounds like a boy's name but yet it dresses like a girl? Oh well...still like him/her! :) Had some time today to do another sketch challenge...went to Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Paper pieced the dress and used My Mind's Eye DP.

Also wanted to share what I received from my CATS partner for May, Denise.

MFT Challenge 20

I was really at a loss for a title for this post! Finally got to do a challenge at My Favorite Things. Decided to do paper piecing again and use DP from My Mind's Eye. I'm totally not used to using these colors but it was fun and something different!

Felt Flower Thank You's

Hello! I decided to make a few thank you cards using felt. Used my nesties for the flowers and a sizzix die for the leaf. Then I just used different Clean & Simplesketches for my cards.

Crafty advice question of the day:

Do you know a good glue/adhesive to glue felt onto felt besides hot glue gun?

I was having trouble because my tacky glue does not hold at all! I didn't know til now!

PI Post-it Note Holder

Went to All That Scraps for their Weekly Wednesday Challenge. The theme this week is paper piecing. I decided to make a post-it note holder for my May Secret Sister. I used a PI image and paper pieced her dress. Sorry the picture looks off because I just finished it didn't get a chance to flatten it yet so the cover kept popping up. Can't tell in the pic, but I added glossy accents and stickles.

I know...starting early and making a gift bag for Christmas! Plan to make more! Gift bags are easier and fun to decorate! Had this Ellybells image already colored and liked this non-traditional color combo.

Fairy Calendar

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far! It always goes by way too fast! :( Finally got to do a challenge and this week at Flutter By Wednesday's is "Anything But a Card" and of course include a butterfly, fairy or angel. I decided to make a chipboard coaster calendar for my May Secret Sister. Hope she will like it!

A really quick post...I'm at work now, was trying to post last night but the site was down! :( Colored my 1st black and white image. Still working on my shading though but I still like how it came out. Tried to distress the edges.

Made my last Mother's Day card for the year using my fave...Mimi! Everything's definitely coming by so quick this year!! Went to The Pink Elephant for the sketch.

Just a short post...gotta get enough rest since I'm helping for a bit at the craft fair at work tomorrow!

I hope my things sell! Don't wanna be stuck with it! :(

Penny Black Mother's Day...

Glad preparing for the craft fair at work is all over! Luckily, I sold some stuff already since my co-workers got bought before I dropped it off! yay. It makes me happy knowing people like what I make. Got to make another mother's day card. Used a cute Penny Black stamp but I'm not too sure what her name is...I only know Mimi. :)

Challenge: The Sweetest Thing

My grandma saw me coloring this image and she kept saying how this image was so cute so I decided to make this card for her!

I'm bummed it came out a little plain, but hopefully it'll get better once I get back in the groove!

Thunderstorms are scary! :O My area had no power for 2 hours.

The Last of the Post-It Note Holders!

Just wanted to share the final batch of Post-it note holders for the craft fair this week! Finally don't have to worry about it and do things at my own pace. :) I made these a smaller size, 3.5 x 5 frame and used the smaller size Post-it pad.

We'll see how it turns out...
