Fairy Post-It Note Frame

This is another item I made for the craft fair next week! Sadly, this is the only one of these frames I made...I was super frustrated, more like I lost my mojo and after this one, I couldn't think of how to decorate the frame! I'm still happy with this one. I think it was easier when I did them before because I filled up the space by using the person's name, whoever it was for! :) The week went by pretty fast, and the weekend goes by even faster!

Mmmmm....

A quick post to share the card I made for the Mojo Monday Challenge! I got the new donut set from Hero Arts...love it and finally got to make use of it! I was actually proud that I used a few bright colors rather always using soft colors! This card made me want to eat Krispy Kreme donuts! Yum! Thanks for stopping by!

More Iris Folding Cards!

I finally finished all the stuff for the craft fair next week! So I'll be sharing the rest of them soon! I actually wanted to make more things but since this was my first time, I was a bit overwhelmed so I decided to wait and see how well my things sell first! When I first started blogging, I shared some Iris Folding cards...I made more for the craft fair. I wanted to make different shapes but thought I'd keep it simple with a square for now. But I kind of like it just the way it is.

Here are a couple close up...

Here's all 10 I made...

It was definitely a lot of folding indeed but it was fun! TFL!

Milton with Barrow of Flowers

Made time to participate in another challenge at Eat,Sleep,Stamp!  Keeps me motivated! :) Anyways, I had to use the new and cute stamp from the new line Milton & Co. by Wild Rose Studio. Milton is the bear and his friends are all so cute too! I think I like using animals more than people! I will like using people too once I get the hair coloring down!

*On a side note, I feel like I'm not ashamed to say that I'm now a believer of God. Maybe it's also bad that I feel this way only now. My friend was reading a book called Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living At Your Full Potential by Joel Osteen...it didn't interest me at all at the time. About a year later, I was going through some tough times and I remembered her reading that book...I'm almost finished with the book and wow, I'm so amazed and I already feel like I think differently about life in general. So from now, I'd like to share quotes from his book...
"Quit worrying about how everything is going to turn out. Live one day at a time; better yet, make the most of this moment. It’s good to have a big – picture outlook, to set goals, to establish budgets and make plans, but if you’re always living in the future, you’re never really enjoying the present in the way God wants you to."

Pure Innocence Thank You

I decided to do the challenge at Cute Card Thursday! . I really like the Pure Innocence images! She is so cute! One day I will definitely buy some of my own! I was busy making things for the craft fair it seems like I haven't made a card in awhile. It took me awhile to figure everything out. One thing I want to work on is using more bold colors...it seems as though I tend to use a lot of soft colors on my cards...is that bad? I think it's also because I'm conservative in real life so I guess that has something to do. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

April OCS

I can't believe how fast April is going by! I'm glad tomorrow is Friday again tho! Need to relax! :) I just wanted to share the cards for this month's OCS! Always fun to participate! My partner was Joni!

Here is the cute card she made...

Here's what I made...
I tried my best at making a "spring" card but I think
my cardstock wasn't thick enough so it didn't spring up too much...
I like how it turned out anyway!

Have a great weekend! TFL!

Paperclip Bookmarks

Here's another project for the craft fair coming up! Thanks to Denise's make and take last month, I was able to whip up some paperclip bookmarks! I think they are so cute, but I didn't have many small stamps so I just used the Dandelion stamps. Wal*Mart always runs out of the silver paperclips so I ended up just buying the colored ones. I think it looks nice though! Here they are...

Stampin' Up! Cards

Yay! Yesterday I got to a class to make some Stampin' Up! cards. Omg. It really is dangerous...the more I go to these demos/classes, the more I want to buy everything!...especially the things they demo with! We made 12 cards, 3 each of 4 designs! It was nice to have the paper pre-cut so it was that much easier.

Here's the first card...
The rose is colored using watercolor. Love it!

This one was really clever!
The tulips were the wings of the bird punch.
And the pot is actually from the ornament punch!

The sample was nicer...
I had a hard time with the outline and making it fit.
I like the color combo though.

This was the easiest but yet it I love it!
I like the bold colors on this!

Thanks everyone for stopping by and for your sweet and encouraging comments!

Post-it Note Holders

Hello! I can't believe May is coming up already...I say that because my work place is having a craft fair the beginning of May and I decided to participate to get some experience!! yay! We'll see how well my things sell! It's for a good cause...a portion of the proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Association (I think that's what it's called) and I will get the rest. I think I'm making 5 different things to sell. One of them is a post-it note holder that you can use to put in your purse. I bought these plastic covers from ebay which is actually supposed to be a passport cover but I saw somewhere where they used the longer post-its to put inside. So that's what I did and decorated the outside!

Here is a few of them up close...

And here's all 9...

TFL! Have a great weekend!

Washi Paper Coasters...

I thought I'd share these coasters that I decorated for a friend even though they didn't come out as I had planned! :( I bought these wooden coasters that I wanted to cover...and I looked all over my craft room and I gave up looking for now so I decided on plan B! I used the heavyweight coasters and use sticky strip to tape 3 of them together to make it almost as thick as the wooden one. Then I just covered four of them, two of each design. I used decopauge glue to make it stick and make the outside look shiny! Also, on the back I used a sticky cork sheet to give it support. I hope I find the wooden ones soon!

Here are the 2 designs up close...

The back...

All 4...

TFL everyone! And for your sweet comments!

Cute Kitty

So glad it's finally Friday...tired so I couldn't think of a better title for this post! I did another challenge this week at Papertake Weekly. The challenge was to follow a sketch. It still takes me so long to finish...mostly because I take long thinking of how to put everything on!

Here's the sketch...

And my card...

Have a great weekend everyone!

Stampin' Up! Demo

I forgot to post this the other week...finally got around to taking pictures of them! I got to go to another demo with my bf's mom. We had 3 projects that day!

A decorated mini milk carton!
Punches were used for the flower and stem.
Circle punch to cut out window, with acetate to make chick peep out!

A vintage looking card! Love it!
Flower made by using old paperback book paper from large flower punch.
(Still practicing how to make the flowers!)

Love this one too!
Cuttlebug dots embossing folder for background.
Dark flower is layered with a smaller one and has a brad in the middle.

The demos are dangerous! I ended up shopping...plus I made it for the end of the saleabration!
Thanks everyone for leaving sweet comments!

Easter Cards!

Didn't get a chance to post some Easter cards before Easter. This was my first year making Easter cards (just started card making last summer!) so it was fun, just didn't have too many Easter images! :(  I'm pretty satisfied with them, just sad I didn't get to participate in any challenges! Here's what I got...

Made this one for my Grandma...you can't tell in the pic but the eggs, the bunny and the chick's shell is cut out and raised on pop dots. And the small squares I sponged the edges with pink ink.

Made this one for my Mom...it looks like this because she loves ORANGE! I'm serious, you can't find a more orange lover than her! Seems like I need a better camera...can't see the detail! :( The back ground I used cuttlebug embossing folder and used stickles. Anya is raised on pop dots and outlined with orange glitter!

Made this one for a good friend. Mojo still low...hope she likes it anyway!

TFL! Hope everyone is having a great week so far!
