Ruby

Didn't know what else to name this post. Finally got to craft a little bit...had a busy week and weekend...probably will again this week! But good to be busy sometimes! I had Ruby colored in already so I thought I'd be a good chance to use her! Did a sketch challenge at Anyone for Anya?

Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!

July OCS

I just realized I haven't posted the cards for July OCS! Probably because I wasn't too happy with my card! The challenge for July was to make a card using words as your focal point. As it is, I hardly use sentiments so it got my mojo thinking! Came out simple but my partner Sharon still loved it! Here are the cards...

Card from Sharon...

Wonderful card. The image and sentiment is stamped on vellum. I thought that was interesting.

Card by me...

I wish I had more time to craft to motivate my mojo!
Then again, I would have been able to tonight but I got caught up watch America's Got Talent!
It's down to the Semi-Finals! Go Prince Poppycock!

Celebrate with Style!

I missed another challenge at Sparkle Creations! Ended up having a busy weekend so I was not able to post in time! I should really start posting right after I finish the card! Anyways, I was still happy to make a card using the "Cocktail Emily" stamp!

Time to go to bed already!
Didn't get to make a card...I just colored some images!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Hopefully next year I can make the Island Girls Social!!

Simple Thank You Cards

I forgot to share another thank you card set I made about a month ago. I used the "With all my Heart" stamp set from Stampin' Up. Once you do more challenges (especially sketches), I find it hard to make simple cards!! I just want to keep adding things. Yet some people say "less is more". When I make sets, I like to use the same image but just use different colors. I heat embossed the flowers. That was the only technique I used for these cards.

Here's one up close...

And here's the whole set...

August is sure flying by! Life really is too short!
So glad tomorrow is Thursday, then 3 day weekend!
I hope all of you have a 3 day weekend too! We could all use it huh?

Happy Birthday Anya

I seem to have a bad habit of doing challenges and then after I get busy and don't have time to upload my card in time for the deadline! Oh well, I still had fun making the card! I made a card using the Birthday Anya from the challenge at Spendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm. It was a sketch challenge. I made this card for the bf's co-worker for her birthday. I was invited to the dinner and she loved it...she asked me if I drew Anya...I wish! haha. She passed it around and said I should sell them...maybe one day. When I get better.

Life's been a little hectic these days...decision, decisions!
Can't wait for the holiday on Friday!
Thanks everyone for your sweet comments!

Charlotte with a Rose

I'm glad I made it this week for the deadline at the Sparkle Creations Challenge Blog! This week's challenge was to use embossing on your card, whether it be wet or dry. I chose to use my cuttlebug embossing folder because they still look nice even when it's dry! It's hard to tell on my card, but it's there. I used a sketch from Mojo Monday.

Thanks for stopping by!
Your comments motivate me to continue stamping even when it gets overwhelming!

Happy Birthday "Your Next Stamp"!

Your Next Stamp brand of stamps is celebrating their 1st birthday! Yay! So the challenge is birthdays at the YNS Challenge Blog! Finally got a chance to ink up their stamps! I'll probably give this to my friend who's birthday is in September...just glad to get a headstart especially since the holidays will sneak up on us before you know it! So here's my card...used the embossing folder to look like the sky.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone's having a great week so far!

Scooter Chloe

I finally got to sit down and use the stamps I received from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps! Love them! I thought I'd be a great chance to participate in her Challenge Blog! The challenge was to use your favorite embellishment and mines is dew drops! I realized I don't like my cards too busy...at least until I know how to do it better! I see other people's cards that are "busy" but they know how to make everything look well together! I actually finished the card yesterday but didn't have time after to upload it, then I came home late tonight so I missed the deadline for the challenge! That's ok, it was fun anyways! Hope to make the next one!

Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend! It always just zooms by!

Pure Innocence Christmas

Finally got to make another card using a PI image! yay! And tried paper piecing again...slowly getting used to it but still not as easy as it looks! All the DP is Basic Grey's Eskimo kisses paper. I made this card for the sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop. I'm glad to get a little head start on Christmas cards!

Thanks for stopping by!

Just a random thought...I've noticed that ever since I got into cardmaking about a year ago, it made me more of a packrat than I already am! Sometimes it overwhelms me that papercrafting has so many supplies! (or the fact that I choose to buy everything!) I hope I don't give up because besides all the stuff, I really do enjoy making everything and meeting new people as well!

Simple Sympathy Card

My grandma always feels bad having me make her cards when she needs one! Silly...I told her no worry, I can make! :) Once you start making cards, I can't buy another card! This time she needed a sympathy card...I was so lost because this was my first sympathy card! I cheated a little and looked for ideas from Google...I thought it was a great idea to use the cuttlebug embossing folder! So here's what I came up with!

Sorry it's hard to see! I thought I'd use pink so it wouldn't look too sad!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Back to work!
