"n" Monogram Cards

Sad I did not get to craft for awhile. Lotta stuff going on...I still envy everyone who says they're busy but they still have just enough time to craft! Lucky! :) Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to make more cards for Operation Write Home! I've been seeing quite a few people making monogram cards so I thought I'd be a great idea for me to try and make some for my friend whose birthday was last week. I just made it simple with an elegant look using the embossing folder. I was pretty satisfied...might have to make more for Christmas! I made 2 sizes and 5 of each.

3 x 3 card...

A2 card...

Here's all 10...

I can't believe Friday is October already! So many projects I want to try but not enough time!
Hope everyone's having a great week so far!

Kitty Christmas

#3 card for Operation Write Home! Slowly getting there...well just a quick post tonight...lotta things going on right now. But I really do believe everything happens for a reason and the best is yet to come! Anyways, here is my card for the challenge at Friday Sketchers.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Back to work...

Snowman Family

#2 card for Operation Write Home! I hope I can make my goal of 20 cards before Oct. 30. (The cards need to be postmarked by Oct. 30 to make it in time for Christmas!) It would be fast if I did all simple cards and mass produced, but I want each card to be special so I'm trying to make them all one of a kind and making it more than "clean and simple". I followed a sketch from Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I love this Penny Black snowman family I bought last year...well I love all snowmen in general. For this card, I also tried to use non-traditional Christmas colors. I'm still having a hard time with the "out of the box" technique.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Operation Write Home

I'm trying hard to get back into the groove of crafting!! I don't know how everyone else does it...like having a full-time job and having time to craft on a regular basis! I want to be on a roll, especially with the holidays sneaking up on us!! Has everyone heard of Operation Write Home? Well if you haven't, please check out the site! To make a long story short, it is a place to send handmade cards which are then shipped to deployed military and they use those cards to send to their family! I thought this would be a good chance to do a good deed! :) The deadline for Christmas cards is Oct. 30 and my goal is to make 20 cards. (at the minimum) Here is my first card...

I followed the sketch for the challenge at Inspirational Card Sketches I hope I can make my goal!
Thanks for your sweet comments! Yay tomorrow is Thursday already! Got to watch the finale of America's Got Talent...sad the Prince didn't win but Michael Grimm is a great singer!

Mavis the Cat

I finally got a chance to buy some stamps from Stamping Bella! So many cute stamps...but I must cut down! I love cats so I just had to get Mavis the Cat. I happened to see it on someone's blog and fell in love with him. I also made it in time for the challenge at The Sweet Shop! My card came out pretty simple, but I still like it! Having fun trying to get used to paper piecing as I did on Mavis's dress. Mavis looks like a girl right? I'm confused because the name sounds like a boy but Mavis is wearing a dress and has a flower on its' head.

Hope everyone had a great Monday!

There is no one like you!

Today was Grandparent's Day...I just realized that earlier this week so I had to hurry to make my grandma a card!! I intended to make this card for the Friday Sketches Challenge but I didn't have a chance to finish it before Friday unfortunately. I do not have any "grandma" stamps so I used this cute stamp from the Greeting Farm!! I thought it would be good because I love cats so for this stamp, I am the cat and the girl is my grandma! I tried to make this card look a little vintage...I used the scissors blad to roughen the edges on the yellow paper and I crumbled the pink paper. Hope to get better at the vintage look.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Can't wait...this Wednesday the winner of America's Got Talent is announced!

Wild Rose Studio Doggie Birthday

I finally finished a card for a challenge and had time to post it before the deadline! Life's been busy...along with stressful I admit. People always say you can't complain because someone always has it worse than you! True...but wow, as you get older...life just seems to get more challenging!! Hopefully I can feel differently about that soon! Anyways, my grandma asked me to make a card for my bf's belated birthday from her. I decided to participate in the challenge at Saturday Challenge. The challenge was to make a "clean and simple" card. I thought it was good since masculine are usually simple anyway. I used a new stamp using Milton the bear from Wild Rose Studio. My camera is taking blurry pics...I gotta practice with it again. I pierced the edges and paper pieced the presents.

Thanks for stopping by!
Time to go to sleep! It's been a long day...
Watched America's Got Talent...yay Prince Poppycock!

Dandelion Designs Thank You Cards

Aww tomorrow back to work again! The weekends always go by way too fast! Anyways, I'm late in posting these but about a month ago, some of my relatives came to visit from the mainland. I decided to make to make a set of thank you's for each family. I really wanted to make a set of 10 cards but only had enough time for 4! I was having a hard time with the layouts...had to get help from Clean & Simple! I decided to use Dandelion stamps for these cards. I was happy with the results! Forgot to take a picture of each card individually...here's all of them!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Thank You from Kim!

Kim won my Christmas in July candy...back in July. (Can't believe it's September already!) She sent me a thank you card and I just remembered to share it now! Sorry! She always makes such beautiful cards!

She also gave me an RAK as well...so sweet! I didn't get a picture of it though.
So happy tomorrow is Friday...3 day weekend!
Sad I haven't gotten a chance to craft in awhile...lotta stuff to do lately!
Have a great weekend!
