Hedgehog with Flowers!

Just a quick post to share the card I made today for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge! I love this brand! I just had a hard time coloring the hedgehog...still getting used to the blending. I liked how it came out anyways. I used a sketch from Amy R. The challenge was to use 1 circle 2 papers (I believe DP) and 3 flowers.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Random Cards

I wanted to do a challenge tonight but I just had to keep up with watching America's Got Talent! It's getting super close to the winner! Yay, and tomorrow on the results show, Jabbawockeez will be performing! Anyways, I just wanted to share a few random cards I made just to try out some new techniques...came out simpler than I would've wanted.

My first time paper piecing...realized I should've used printed paper...

This was my first time using the sander to rub off the color of the cardstock...

First tea bag folding card...

There's so many more techniques I want to try...if only there was more time!
I wish I could do more cards now but I gotta go to sleep! :(
Hope everyone's having a great week so far!

Be Merry

Got to do another Christmas card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge! I still gotta practice coloring with copics! I think I press too hard because you can see in the picture that the red started coming on the outside of the hat! :( That's ok, hope whoever gets it doesn't notice! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Monday was a long day!

Cuddle Anya

I rushed yesterday to do this card for a baby shower today...but turned out I ended up not going. Oh well. At least I will have one made just in case. I made this for the challenge at Club Anya but was sad that I just missed the cut off for the deadline! Thought I'd share the care anyways. It's been a busy weekend...back to work tomorrow!

I can't believe it's almost August! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Christmas in July Blog Candy!

It's funny that when July came, the first thing thing that came to mind was "Christmas in July". It's scary too how fast the year is going by and it is actually less than half a year til Christmas! Before the month, I wanted to do a blog candy with Christmas items...so here it is...

This time, everyone will be eligible to win!
Just a couple things in order to enter...

1) If you are not already, become a follower of my blog.
2) What is your favorite Christmas craft project (it does not have to be paper related)?

For me, last year was my first time actually hand making things for Christmas. I don't know if it's my favorite but it was fun! It was making post-it note/calendar frames. I also helped my friend make a whole bunch so she could give some away too. It comes in handy especially with the new year coming.

That's it. Since this is a small candy, I will have the drawing open until Thursday July 22 midnight Hawaii Time. The winner will be announced Friday July 23!

Cupcake Chibi

Finally got to do a challenge with The Greeting Farm! used this cute Chibi stamp since I already had it colored...I noticed it helps a lot when I have the image colored already so I'll try to do that from now. And I like that I'm starting to use more bright colors too! The challenge was to use a digi and try something new technique for you...for me, I tried ribbon pleating. I did a small part but it still took awhile to get used to.

I love how she looks like anime!

Christmas Tilda

Thought I'd start making some Christmas cards or at least try to since it will come in no time! I had this Tilda image already colored so it helped me since I still take long with layouts! Plus, I finally figured out how to use the Sure Cuts a Lot software to use with the Cricut machine! Thank goodness for youtube videos! I used the cricut mainly for my scrapbooks. Anyways, here is my card for the challenge at Just Magnolia.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Fleur Anya

This card was actually supposed to be for a challenge about a month ago! Unfortunately, by the time I finished, I missed the deadline and just remembered that I didn't get a chance to share it yet. I colored her dress green to sort of look like ti leaves, like back in the day.

I don't what I was thinking when I added the string like that...yikes! Oh well, too late to undo! :(

I can't believe tomorrow is Friday again! I'm not complaining!

June OCS

Finally remembered to share the cards for June OCS! My partner for June was Liann from Washington. I thought I'd do a Hawaiian theme card with Hula Anya and a couple Tea Bag folded flowers. And did an A2 size easel card.

And here is the beautiful card/tag Liann made!

I love this tag...I love the vintage look and it had a coating like decopauge.
I really want to learn how to make this!

Again, the OCS was exciting and great meeting new people! :)

Birthday Gift Bag

I was so glad I got to use one of the new Pure Innocence images I just received in the mail. This was actually supposed to be a card for the sketch challenge at
Sketch Saturday
but I decided to put the sketch on a bag to make it a gift bag instead since I already made my grandma a birthday card! I hope I still qualify for the challenge! Oh, and it was also my first time paper piecing! It was fun and not as hard as I thought!

And here's a close up...

I love Pure Innocence...I went a little crazy and bought a lot!
Oh well...I'm happy! :)
Hope everyone's having a great weekend...tomorrow is Sunday already!

Thank You Bear

I finally got to do a challenge at Mojo Monday! I love all the sketches they have every week!

Still trying to get used to my new camera! Sucks though it did not come with a manual! I think it looks better than my previous pics because this is 14 megapixels!

Have a great weekend!

Butterfly Anniversary

Did another simple card for the Clean & Simple Challenge! Still gotta get used to making simple cards...I feel like I want to add more stuff to it! I made this a wedding anniversary card for my aunty and uncle who will be celebrating 2 years this month!

Super glad it's a short week! Things have been a little hectic...but I see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Punched Thank You Cards

I didn't have much time last week to get out some "thank you" cards so I thought I'd try making cards using my punches. I tried to make it as pretty as I could and using sketches from Clean and Simple

Simple...but it still took awhile to figure out what to do! TFL!

Surfer Girl

Got to squeeze in a little time to do a sketch challenge this weekendover at The Sweet Stop. Sad it went by so quick...but glad I had an extra day off! :) It was a really quick card because I already had this C.C. Surfer girl colored already.

Didn't know what kind of sentiment to use here. Hope everyone had a great 4rth of July!

Simple Birthday

Unfortunately, I've been doing a lot of simple cards recently! :( Mostly because I've been tired because I just got into hip hop dancing!! Loving it so far! I think I got the inspiration from watching America's Best Dance Crew and seeing Jabbawockeez live! But wow, I give them a lot of credit...the next day after my first day I was super sore! Anyways, I did a challenge at Clean & Simple! I love their layouts for simple cards and I finally got to participate in one of their challenges! I guess simple cards can be just as good as busier ones. I also made this card for someone whose birthday is coming up...

Can't tell but there's also a sprinkle stamp added too. And the 'happy birthday' is heat embossed.
