A Simple Ornament and a Few Post-it/Calendar Frames

Today is almost over so I can't believe Christmas is in 9 days! Super crazy! Now I am slammed as I wanted to make a lot of things handmade this year and I totally waited til the last minute! So we'll see. Anyways, at work, we were given an aluminum lid from those frozen juices that you can make yourself. Like this...

A lot of my co-workers put pictures of their pets...unfornately, I don't have a pet right now. I decided to use the new Christmas set from Two Scoops Rice Designs. I used the gingerbread man and girl and put one on each side. For the base, I used the scallop nestie and used the swiss dot cuttlebug embossing folder over it. Then put clear glitter stickles on each dot. For the gingerbread people, I stamped it on brown paper and cut it out. Then colored the white part using souffle gelly rolls and put clear glitter stickles on. Then colored the heart with red gelly roll and put crystal lacquer to give some dimension. I was getting so frustrated with the edges because i couldn't get the regular double sided tape to serve its purpose, so I ended up leaving the outer edge bear. My co-workers decorated their edge because they use the hot glue gun, but I refuse to use it because it's messy to me! Oh well, I hope it looks okay anyway. Here's both sides of the ornament...

Last night, I helped my friend make some post-it/calendar frames. It was so much fun! I just finished a few since we took awhile coloring a lot of images! Here's what I got...TFL!

  1. Hi Cyndi! You did a great job on your ornament--it is really cute! Your calendars are also very pretty. BTW, where did you find your calendars--I want to make a few of these, too. Happy Holidays!
