A Pair Of Simple Christmas Cards!

Made a couple more Christmas cards!! Kept them simple! :) Followed the sketch from non other than Clean & Simple! I love their sketches! For this one, I wanted to try best to make my own background! I'm still learning how to do this technique...I didn't know how to space the image to make it look "natural". Also, so that it wasn't too plain, on both cards, I heat embossed the background. (you can probably see my mistakes!) I haven't embossed since last year! :O It was fun though. Both images are from Dandelion Designs.

Wow, tomorrow is Wednesday already! That much closer to the weekend! :)

An early 2012 calendar and July CATS

Hello! I finally got to do some crafting with my friend this weekend! It always goes by so fast...and too many things we want to do! :( She suggested we alter an acrylic frame with stamps, a calendar and a post-it! It's never too early too start...it's already August! :O I used the new (well new for me) tulip monkey by C.C. Designs.

I also wanted to share the card and tag I received from Gail (from California) for July...

love these...they are too cute!! She said it was a die...very cool!

 She also made a tea bag holder...again very cute and creative!!

 (fyi- the theme for July was red, white, and blue)

Penguin's Winter Fun...

that is the name of the stamp that I got from Whiff of Joy stamps last year and only used it now! Tried to practice blending with Copics again...I don't know, I think I just really have a heavy hand! But I guess gotta keep practicing! Decided to make another gift bag...trying to look through all my pile of bags to see which ones I can alter! I wish all of them were plain! :)

This was an interesting sketch with the corner missing at the top...but I still had fun!!

Fun in the Sun

It's another simple card but something isn't right with this card! (I think because the blue is too plain?) :( Maybe next time I should try the cloud sponging technique. I really like the image though! And she has some brown on her face because I accidentally put her upside down on the wet ink! I thought I'd leave it because I had already colored the whole image! I went to The Pink Elephant for the challenge in which the theme was "Fun in the Sun". I used a nestie and button for the sun and distressed most of the edges.

Strawberry Girl Calendar

Finally had some time to craft a little! Been busy lately! My priority on my craft to-do list was a project for my secret sister for July!! Can't believe it's almost August! I decided to make another magnetic calendar using chipboard. (This is one of my favorite projects to do!) I used my new Sweet November "Strawberry Girl" stamp. I had to get it because of the strawberries and the girl is so adorable!
