Valentine Hedgies

Made another vday card using a cute Penny Black stamp! I have to admit at first the hedgies did not catch my eye, but now, besides Mimi, they are one of my favorite Penny Black characters!! This card is for the challenge at Sketch Saturday. After I finished the card, I realized there are a lot of red hearts everywhere! That's okay...that's what vday is all about right? :)

I had a wonderful weekend with friends!

Randomness:

I've come to realize that life really is TOO short. Gotta go with your gut feelings. If you feel good about something, and some people say don't do it, I think you should still do it because you only live once! Life is worth taking risks! If it wasn't meant to be, gotta get back on your feet and move on. Life keeps going and everything happens for a reason!

Looks like I won't find my Valentine's sentiments for my cards this year...and I don't want to buy another set! Did a challenge at Sparkle Creations! The theme was "Love is in the Air". Used Cupid Emily stamp again. She is so cute!

Valentine Mimi

Still sad my v-day sentiment stamps have not come up yet! Oh well, I'm still going to make v-day cards either way! I'm trying my best to organize my stamps so I put them back right away and they do not get misplaced! My first card using the super cute Mimi stamp! And it's my first time participating at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

3 x 3 Card Set

The weekends always zoom by!! And I can't believe next week is February already! :O Found another project to share from this past holiday season. I made my co-workers a 3 x 3 card set, 5 cards each.

I made these up on my own...something simple for a birthday...

The ice cream cone is a Martha Stewart paper punch.

Valentine Bear

Made another Valentine's Day card to end off my 3 day weekend! Sad, still have not found my Valentine's sentiments that I bought last year...and I'm not going to buy more!...well at least not right now! :) Did a fun sketch from Mojo Monday! I love their sketches!

Cupid Emily

Made my 1st Valentine's Day card for this year! It will be here before you know it! I made it in time for the challenge at Sparkle Creations! This week there is a sketch to follow. I'm bummed because I bought Valentine's sentiments and I lost them...more like misplaced them in my craft mess! My friend came over to help me clean but it never came out! Guess I need to clean more! :O Kept it simple...I've noticed I like to make my cards simple...but I do admire those cardmakers who make cards with lots of detail! One day, hopefully I can do a mix of both!

Snow Buddies!

Just finished my 1st Christmas card for 2011! It's never too early to start! :) I actually got this stamp in time for Christmas 2010 but I forgot to use it unfortunately! Good chance to use this stamp since Wednesdays is a sketch challenge at My Favorite Things! I love anything cute and happy! Tried my best with the sketch, first time using a half circle.

Kitty Birthday

Made another birthday card since birthdays seem to be coming up left and right and I do not have a big stash yet! There really needs to be more time in a day! I still can't get over how most of the blogs I go to, they have a full-time job, a side business maybe, kids, etc. and they create so much in a week! I don't have kids yet but already feels like there's no time! :( I guess I gotta prioritize and make more time for crafts! :) Anyways, I got the sketch from Mojo Monday. A simple card using a Wild Rose Studio stamp!

Christmas Gift Bags

I know it's past Christmas and in the new year but I still wanted to share some things from this past holiday season that I didn't get to earlier! I only had time to make 2 simple gift bags this year! :( I keep all the bags I get when I go shopping...I love the paper ones with the handles because those are the ones I use and cover up the store name with my decorations.

Crochet Dishcloths

It still does not feel like 2011 to me! Anyways, I made some crochet dishcloths as gifts this year. I wanted to make a lot but unfortunately I self-taught myself from Youtube videos too late so I only did a handful. Also, it took me a really long time to figure out some parts of the written instructions!! But I was determined to complete it! I just hope the people who got them like it!!

Here is the Lacey Honeycomb Dishcloth. I tried my best! I got the pattern here.

The 3 I completed for Christmas...

This was supposed to be a motif, but I used it as a mini dishcloth. Got the pattern here. It could also be used as a coaster too.

It was funny how I thought I could finish way more in time for Christmas! But a lot of things come up unexpectedly during the holidays...now I know...definitely plan ahead!! And by then I hope to get better at crocheting! Or try something new too!! :)
